A Sneak Peek at the Exciting Times Ahead in Canada!
They
will be flying far the seas on the Air Canada / Lufthansa aircraft by the time
you read this. As far as the Canadian Tourism Commission's plans for us are
concerned, they are in for a great Airfare from Toronto to India travel and blogging trip!
The
amount of open and unstructured time they get to explore Canada on their own on
this trip is unlike any other press trip they have been on. As usual, they are
open to recommendations from the people they meet, so they are not making
concrete plans. Thank you so much to everyone who has volunteered to show
recommendations for places to hang out and eat.
Here
are some of the "planned" experiences they are looking forward to,
even though they have to wait and see where this journey takes me on the
"on your own" portion.
Vancouver
Their
itinerary includes a walk over an antique 1889 suspension bridge over a canyon,
a ride on the Grouse Mountain Skyride with a falconry demonstration, and a stop
at "Edible Canada," a food and drink festival featuring some of
Canada's most excellent wine, beer, and spirits.
Visit the Northwest Territories to see the Northern
Lights
Many
people said that they should have tried to see the aurora borealis last week,
next week, or any other week than this one. In Yellowknife, located in the
northern auroral oval, they went on an aurora-watching trip, even though I'd
never seen one before. When it comes to a light display, it's all in the hands
of the weather, solar flares, and good luck. This
time around, they realized what all the buzz was about.
Canada's Best Attractions: A List they have Put
Together
If
you haven't already, this guide on things to do in Canada will offer you lots
of new ideas to add to your bucket list. You might spend a lifetime going
through the ultimate Canadian bucket list.
Here
are some of the top things to do in Canada, including well-known destinations
like Niagara Falls, Banff National Park, and the Rocky Mountains, as well as
lesser-known gems like beautiful lakes and eco-resorts.
Rocky Mountaineer train journey
Luxury
train Air
tickets from India to Canada travel's allure is rooted in an ancient period
when the trip was as important as the destination.
On
the other hand, one Canadian firm is committed to preserving the leisurely
travel ethos by offering one of the world's most memorable train journeys.
The
Rocky Mountaineer has been traversing the Canadian Rockies since 1990, taking
visitors on an all-inclusive journey into the country's breathtaking glaciers,
valleys, and jagged peaks.
The
most common route is a two-day excursion from Vancouver to Banff that includes
a night in the quaint town of Kamloops.
Guests
on Rocky Mountaineer's GoldLeaf Service may enjoy superb wine, award-winning
food, and breathtaking vistas from the Glass Dome Ceilings throughout the day.
It
is one of Canada's most popular tourist attractions, and by reserving early,
you may also include additional activities like sailing the Inside Passage.
Visit Churchill to see the polar bears
Manitoba's
isolated settlement of Churchill, on the shore of Hudson Bay, is known as the
"Polar Bear Capital of the World" for its abundance of polar bears.
In
Canada's isolated Arctic areas, just 15,000 polar bears are surviving. Due to
climate change, polar bears, the world's giant apex predator, face the danger
of becoming extinct. To view one of these endangered creatures in the wild,
you'll either need to go on an extended adventure or pay for a costly charter
aircraft to the most remote parts of the globe.
On
the other hand, Churchill, Manitoba, defies expectations by offering the best
opportunity to see these fearsome alpha predators up close.
Kayak with the Beluga Whales
Churchill
isn't only a place to see polar bears. A day or two should be allocated in your
schedule if you want to kayak with beluga whales in the Canadian wilderness.
In
Hudson Bay, the mythical white whales of the Canadian Arctic may be feeding on
trout and char.
While
you may be able to view them breaching from shore or on a zodiac tour, the best
way to get up and personal with humpback whales is to kayak alongside them.
The
beluga whale kayaking experiences offered by operators like Lazy Bear Lodge and
Sea North Tours are an excellent addition to any Churchill vacation for those
who like marine life.
Observing the Aurora Borealis
You'll
never forget the first time you see the Aurora Borealis, with its green and
pink light ribbons swaying over the night sky, unless you make a memorable trip
to witness this geomagnetic phenomenon near the Earth's northern extremes in
the dead of winter.
On
the other hand, the odds of witnessing Lady Aurora in Canada are more
significant than in any other country. With specialized Northern Lights
excursions and accommodations in the extreme north of Canada's land, it doesn't
mean you have to give up on luxury.
There
is no better site in Yukon to see the spectacular Aurora Borealis than Northern
Lights Resort and Spa, located just outside Whitehorse. The lodge has heated
log cabins and modern glass chalets, so you don't have to leave your bed to see
the displays.
Churchill,
the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Newfoundland and Labrador are all excellent
locations for seeing the Northern Lights.
The
Aurora Borealis can be seen year-round in Canada, so even if you prefer not to
go during the winter, there's no need to worry.
Even
during the summer, displays of the Northern Lights as far south as Banff in the
Yukon Territory.
If
experiencing the Aurora borealis is on your bucket list of things to do in
Canada, they recommend making a trip to one of the more northern regions.
Not
only will you have a better chance of seeing Lady Aurora in action, but you'll
also have the wonderful experience of seeing a part of the world where few
visitors ever go.
